WOCAD/ BellaNet as Global partners

WOCAD has been invited by Civil Society Team at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to register a profile document, and have been acknowledge as partners in the electronic NGO databas.

UNODC recognizes the need to promote strong partnerships with civil society organizations in dealing with the complex problems of drug abuse and crime which undermine the fabric of society. The active involvement of civil society and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is essential to help UNODC carry out its global mandates

UNODC has established an electronic NGO database listing over 2,500 NGOs involved in prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts, alternative development, crime prevention (including anti-human trafficking and anti-corruption activities), and criminal justice reforms. This database includes information provided by NGOs and input from UNODC's 20 field offices where NGOs actively participate in operational projects.
