WOCAD is collaborating with EURAD (Europe against drugs) in expanding the national network for girl group leaders BellaNet to Romania on the 24th oh August, as a planned part in EAD to counteract the growing problem with drugs in Europe.
WOCAD’s national network for girl group leaders, BellaNet, was approved by the EU-commission in June 2009 as one of the actions in European Action on Drugs (EAD) and already by the 26th of June WOCAD had opened BellaNets internet forum to international members.
EURAD’s international president Renée Besseling will be participating in the summercamp in Suceava, arranged by the the teachers’ federation in Romania for 200 teachers. On the 24th of August she will talk about WOCAD’s network for girl group leaders to support teachers, youth recreation leaders etc in working drug preventive with a focus on girls. She will also inform the participants that they can participate in an education day on “Bella Rubble and roses 2 – methods for girl groups” (WOCAD/K.Byréus 2001, 2006).
WOCAD, together with EURAD, intend to plan an education on the interactive method material “Bella” in the summer of 2010, to strengthen the drugpreventive work with a focus on girls. WOCAD’s BellaNet is offered as a basis for changing experiences and connections for girl group leaders from this EAD-action.
